Constellation to acquire Calpine; Tyler Reeder discusses deal on ‘Bloomberg Open Interest’

In January, ECP announced the sale of Calpine to Constellation, creating one of America’s leading producers of clean and reliable energy to meet growing demand for customers and communities. The transaction reflects years of focus on unlocking value and driving growth opportunities for the business.

Tyler Reeder, President and Managing Partner at ECP, spoke with Bloomberg on Bloomberg Open Interest about the deal, highlighting Calpine's remarkable journey under ECP's ownership.

He also touched on how the economy is undergoing a rapid energy transition: electricity demand growth in the face of supply retirements is creating a significant opportunity set in power; a diversified set of demand drivers (relative to flat historic demand) establishes a resilient outlook.
