Headquartered in Teddington, South West London, and employing over 2,000 staff who operate out of 22 countries worldwide, LGC has four divisions: Standards, Genomics, Science and Innovation, and Laboratory and Managed Services, providing reference materials, proficiency testing, genomics and analytical products and services.

Since Bridgepoint’s investment in 2010, LGC made several acquisitions: K-Bioscience, a leading provider of genotyping equipment and services to the agribusiness and pharmaceutical industries; HFL Sport Science, the world’s largest sports drug surveillance laboratory; Industrial Analytical in South Africa, a reference materials provider focusing on the natural resources and industrial sectors; Quotient Bioanalytical Sciences, a leading provider of bioanalytical services across the fields of small molecules, biomarkers, biopharmaceuticals and microbiological testing to customers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors; and Dr Ehrenstorfer, the world’s leading producer of pesticide and other organic reference materials.
